Demolition Atlas / Abriss Atlas

• How does 500kg of construction waste per second look like?
• Which buildings have become the faces of demolition?
• What can one do to mitigate the 84% of waste generated by the construction industry? Measured in Switzerland, according to the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN?

Our project partner, the Countdown 2030 association aims to raise awareness about the social, environmental and economic aspects of new developments and so showcase buildings along with their history based on crowdsourced inputs that are facing demolition.

Users can input facts, descriptions, opinions and images - all on a single map. The results will be exhibited at the Swiss Architecture Museum (S AM) in Fall 2022.
